Rev. 21:4-5 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[a] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
Jesus Christ, God the Son Himself, reigning as the First and Last God (v6), the King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Rev 19:16) seated on The Throne, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come (Eph 1:21) authoritatively declares that He is “making everything new!”.
If the past year(s) brought you tears, mourning, crying, or pain, be encouraged that these will pass and God is making everything new. Happy New Year!
